Indonesia Juara Umum ICYS ke-17

DENPASAR, (PRLM).- Indonesia berhasil menjadi juara umum pada Lomba Penelitian Ilmiah Remaja Tingkat Dunia Ke-17 atau 17th International Conference of Young Scientists (ICYS) yang berlangsung di Denpasar Bali 12-17 April 2010. Tim Indonesia yang berkompetisi pada semua bidang lomba, yakni Ilmu Fisika, Matematika, Komputer, dan Ekologi meraih 7 medali emas, 1 medali perak, dan 3 medali perunggu.

Sebagaimana disiarkan Pusat Informasi dan Humas Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional (Kemendiknas), Jumat (16/4), prestasi ini mengulang kesuksesan Indonesia pada ajang yang sama tahun 2009 lalu di Pszcyna, Polandia.

Tujuh medali emas tersebut masing-masing diraih Florencia V.Vaniara/Evelyn L.Wibowo dengan judul penelitian “Effect of Stem Cell and Mangosteen Peel Extact on Abnormal Cells”. Lalu, Muhammad Kautsar/Dian Sartika Sari/Dhicha Putri Maharani/Hidayu Permata Hardi dengan judul “Sweitenia Oil: The Use of Mahagony Seed os Bio-Oil Alternative and The Use of Production Waste as Electris Mosquito Repellent”, Oki Novendra dengan penelitian berjudul “Mathematical Explaination on the Death of Michael Jackson”.

Kemudian, Dwiky Rendra Graha Subekti dengan judul penelitian “Big Match: ‘ Suka Kelor’ Caramel vs Malnutrition”, Sonny Lazuardi Hermawan dengan judul “Portable Protection Everywhere”, Miftah Yama Fauzan dengan judul “Development of Smart Electric Gun with Adaptive Bullet Speed”, dan Andreas Widy Purnomo/Aldo Vitus Wirawan dengan juudl penelitian “Green Energy Source: Centripetal Water Turbine”.

Sedangkan medali perak diraih oleh Aria Dhanang Dewangga dan medali perunggu masing-masing diraih oleh Dita Nurtjahya, Fauqia Tambunan/Bening Embun Pagi/Alan Suherman, dan Rizal Panji Islami/Fahmi Maulana Ainul Yakin/Ikhsan Britama.

Tim Indonesia juga meraih best performance atas nama Dwiky Rendra Graha Subekti untuk bidang Environmental Sciences dan Ilham Naharudinsya/Ardelia Djati Safira/Satria Putra Adhitama untuk bidang Basic Mathematics.

Adapun peringkat kedua diraih oleh tim Jerman dengan 2 medali emas, 1 medali perak, dan 4 medali perunggu, sedangkan peringkat ketiga diraih oleh tim Rusia dengan 2 medali emas, 1 medali perak, dan 3 medali perunggu. Peringkat berikutnya berturut-turut ditempati Belanda, Belarusia, dan Polandia masing-masing meraih satu medali emas.

DENPASAR, (PRLM) .- Indonesia managed to become the overall champion in the competition for Scientific Research Into Adolescent World Level-17 or the 17th International Conference of Young Scientists (ICYS) held in Denpasar, Bali 12 to 17 April 2010. Indonesian team that competed in all areas of competition, ie Physics, Mathematics, Computers, and Ecology won seven gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals.

Indonesian team also won best performance on behalf of Rendra Graha Dwiky Subekti to the field of Environmental Sciences and Ilham Naharudinsya / Ardelia Djati Sapphira / Satria Putra Adhitama to the field of Basic Mathematics.
As for the second rank attained by a German team with two gold medals, one silver medal and four bronze medals, while the third won by the Russian team with two gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals. The next rank in succession occupied the Netherlands, Belarus, and Poland each won one gold medal.
